As we get a little older we all eventually suffer from something known as 'Presbyopia'. It's sounds complicated but it is simply a condition in which the lens of the eye loses its ability to focus, making it difficult to see objects up close. A lens' ability to focus depends on its 'elasticity' - i.e. the amount it can change its shape to focus on smaller objects or objects that get closer or farther away.

We usually notice this condition at around the age of 45 and everyone is affected regardless of whether you've needed to use glasses or contact lenses in the past. What does this mean on a day to day basis? Well if you DO suffer from presbyopia you'll already know how frustrating it is reading a menu in a restaurant or trying to work out a text message on your mobile phone. You'll either be constantly fishing around for your reading glasses or removing one pair of glasses for distance and using another for close up objects.

For millions this is incredibly frustrating but help is at hand! At Focus we are pioneers in the field of 'blended vision'. Our laser blended vision treatment is a superb option for people between the ages of 45 and 65 years old. We can complete the treatment for both eyes in less than eight minutes and the benefits are huge - you will no longer need reading vision glasses! In the video above Paul, one of our patients treated just a few weeks ago, describes in detail why he found wearing reading glasses unbearable, how his treatment went at Focus and how his life is now completely changed.
